Derrick Coleman is impressive, not just because he is the first deaf offensive player in NFL history. (Which, by the way, is amazing.) He went undrafted coming out of UCLA, but has found a home with the Seattle Seahawks, and recently wrote a book entitled No Excuses: Growing Up Deaf and Achieving My Super Bowl Dreams. His inspiring story has touched many lives, and he’s just getting started. Derrick and I spoke recently at The Players’ Tribune offices to talk about his journey, the upcoming NFL season and why he isn’t feeling Game of Thrones.
