
Portfolio: The 2019 NBA Draft Class
The NBA Draft class of 2019 took to New York this week to prepare for Thursday’s main event at the Barclay’s Center. Each player — from lottery locks to projected free agents — came to the city with their own style and swagger. The Players’ Tribune photographed many of the soon-to-be rookies this week using both modern-day cameras and a mid-XIX century photographic process known as “wet plate collodion,” which produces images, called tintypes, on a sheet of aluminum.
