Béisbol on the Border

Just across the United States-Mexico border, right next to the Tijuana International Airport, lies a complex of more than 14 fields that comes alive with baseball fever every weekend. There are Little Leaguers (the Mexican team that went to the LLWS final two years ago hailed from here), beer leaguers, semi-pros and retired legends … and one constant: a love for the game of béisbol. Players’ Tribune photographer Robert Beck spent a recent Saturday there to get a look at how the game is played south of the border.
