Last week in New York City, basketball’s next wave gathered for the Jordan Brand Classic, a showcase for college-bound boys and girls ballers. The future stars were put through grueling practices and received coaching from hoops legends Carmelo Anthony, Maya Moore, Ray Allen and others. It was the 15th anniversary of the event, which features the top male and female high school basketball players from around the world. Throughout its history, the Jordan Brand Classic has shone a spotlight on some of the game’s greatest players, including Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Jabari Parker.
