
The Chirp: Rest in Peace, Ernie Banks
Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, forever dubbed “Mr. Cub”, died Friday at the age of 83. Banks hit 512 home runs in his 19-year career, but he’s most well-known for his endless enthusiasm and his catchphrase, “It’s a great day for baseball. Let’s play two!” Players around the sports world took to Twitter to pay respect to a true giant of the game:
